LUCY 2.0: growing bigger and better!
Since March 2020, the LUCY maternal and neonatal health app is being implemented in Suriname in collaboration with Stichting Perisur and funded by the UTSN Twinningfaciliteit under the wings of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In September 2021, a new version of the app was launched to better meet the needs of pregnant women and parents of newborns.
Empowering Moroccan women with the LUCY reproductive and maternal health app
Morocco has made substantial improvements in reproductive, maternal and newborn health over the past years, however challenges remain, especially for rural and lower educated women. Higher maternal and newborn mortality, limited access to health services and information, and sexual violence are common issues for this group.
World Maternal Mental Health Day 2021
Since 2016, World Maternal Mental Health Day (WMMH) is yearly commemorated on the first Wednesday of May. Today we recognize the importance of maternal health and how this influences women’s (and family’s) mental health worldwide. An example of Health[e]Foundation’s commitment to improve mother’s physical and mental health, is LUCY, our mobile maternal health service launched as an app in Suriname.
