Hi! My name is Emma and I recently earned a master’s degree in Global Health Research. I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Health[e]Foundation as a Junior Project Manager. My initial interest in the field of global health was sparked through the observation of several community health education meetings in rural Nicaragua. During this time, I witnessed firsthand the numerous benefits of collaborative, horizontal partnership between professional healthcare workers and the community. Since that experience, I sought out opportunities that allowed me to grow in equitable partnership and have since worked in disability, mental health, and international research settings. I am greatly looking forward to collaborating with the HEF team to promote equitable and accessible health education. Outside of work, I enjoy boxing/kickboxing, listening to audiobooks, and traveling both locally and internationally with my partner.
