Last week, the Ethiopian Midwives Association (EMwA), our respected partner in Ethiopia, celebrated its 30th anniversary during their General Assembly. We are honored to be among the 7 partners that received a special token of recognition for our longstanding collaboration.
We proudly share these warm words of recognition:
Health[e]Foundation is our long-standing and trusted partner.
Through your unwavering support and guidance, we have a lot of success stories together. Especially the learning support for the digitalization of EMwA and reaching Ethiopian adolescents and pregnant women with SRHR information through several health information services are exemplary.
The recognition was signed by EMwA and awarded by her excellency Dr. Lia Tadesse, Minister, MOH, honorable Dr. Bethlehem Lakew D., Chair of Health, Social, Culture, Gender Affairs Standing Committee of the Parliament, and observed by partners including UNFPA, WHO, USAID, Nuffic, other NGOs and all present midwives. Rather than the mere recognition, we strongly believe this occasion creates visibility to the association.
Thank you for your support. We couldn’t have done it without you.
-Fekadu Mazengia Alemu, Executive Director Ethiopian Midwives Association
Obviously, the gratefulness is also much on the side of Health[e]Foundation as the successful programs in Ethiopia resemble the core relevance of our shared mission. We treasure the long-term collaboration with EMwA and the tireless commitment to improve health for the Ethiopian community, especially focusing on women, children and adolescents.
