Over the past few months, the Lift Leprosy Learning project (LLL), an initiative funded by the International Federation of Anti-Leprosy Associations (ILEP) and partners such as NLR, and Health[e]Foundation have been collaborating on a new blended learning program aimed at reducing health-related stigma and improving mental wellbeing. Since November 2023, a total of 16 participants from 7 different countries have been piloting this new e-course “Reducing Health Related Stigma”. Click here to learn more about the e-course.
This week we concluded the pilot phase with an online feedback meeting. Five participants virtually joined the evaluation session to discuss their experiences. The responses were overwhelmingly positive, with participants stating the material was applicable and informative far beyond their initial expectation. One participant stated that the “material is so important” for not only his work, but was also eager to invite his coworkers to take the course. One of the many benefits of e-learning is that the content is a living document; it can be changed and updated depending on the needs and wishes of its users. Once all feedback gathered from this event has been taken into account, updated content will be accessible for these participants and beyond to help reduce health-related stigma and improve mental wellbeing in all areas of health care work.
We are thrilled that participants value this course to improve their practice and efforts to reduce health-related stigma and are looking forward to making this course available for many others.
