Health[e]Foundations’ inspiring visit to Ethiopia

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, in March 2020, we have not been visiting Ethiopia. Therefore, we were extremely looking forward to travel to one of our main implementing countries and have the opportunity to visit our longstanding as well as new partners. In an energizing week with a highly condensed agenda, together with the Ethiopian Midwives Association (EMwA), we had multiple stakeholder meetings, facilitated a kick-off workshop for the Pandemic[e]Response program for in-service midwives in Addis Ababa, attended the EMwA organized launch of the Ethiopian Midwifery Care Process manual, and officially disseminated the Nuffic-funded TMT+ project results, including achievements with our LUCY maternal health app and the research results on the TENA interactive voice response service. We aligned and advanced strategies for sustained partnership with EMwA and Viamo as well as identified opportunities with new partners such as Nuru International and the center of adolescent girls’ health.

As pictures say more than a thousand words, we hope you enjoy our photobook.
