Another year of positive impact: the Drug Decriminalisation [e]Course in 2022

30 June 2021 marked the date of the launch of the Drug Decriminalisation[e]Course. In collaboration with the International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC), Mainline Foundation, and Frontline AIDS the course was developed to move the world towards decriminalisation and away from the war on drugs. 2022 was another year in which the Drug Decriminalisation[e]Course positively impacted its learners.

We started out with the English course and thanks to the interest and support of donors and partners, the course is now also available in French, Russian, and Arabic. Up to today, more than 750 learners from 96 countries have started their online learning journey across seven interactive and engaging modules.

“I just want to say that this e course is done in a way that it can be good and informative both for people who are new to this subject and for people already well understood with decriminalisation and harm reduction. I think that it can be an important tool to get people to be better understood with decriminalisation and also for activists advocating for change in drug policy.”

“As an activist, I learnt a lot from this course and I have been challenges to think outside the box on advocating for Drug Policy Reform (decriminalization) as well as Harm Reduction. I also learnt that this is not an end but a means to an end in saving lives, promoting and respecting human right and dignity of PWUID (people who use injection drugs). As for me I am ready to go far with this knowledge I learnt. I am fully capacitated.
