A warm welcome to Deborah

This week we welcomed Deborah Maufi to the team! She introduces herself to you:

“My name is Deborah. I am a medical doctor from Tanzania. Before moving to Netherlands, I benefited from a versatile education in Medicine (MBBS) and Business Administration (MBA). I have pertinent knowledge on sexual and reproductive health with focus on HIV/AIDS and family planning which is complimented by working experience in both clinical and community based projects targeting vulnerable populations in Tanzania. I strongly believe that combining healthcare information and technology is key in creating substantial change in health and wellbeing and that is why I recently joined the Health[e]Foundation team. As a project manager at Health[e]Foundation, I will support the implementation of the Health[e]Living project in Uganda with active efforts to expand to more regions and MyHealth@Hand – a smartphone app that empowers pregnant women and enables them to seamlessly communicate with healthcare workers. In my spare time, I like to take nature walks, cooking and pub quizzes.”

With her medical background, extensive experience in clinical and community projects in Tanzania and shining personality, we are very pleased that Deborah joined our team. We wish her a good time at Health[e]Foundation!
